Hello splitprune,

Good beginning and... Where is the continuation? That's bad because with that kind of intro, a lot of possibility are existing... Good idea add to that in my opinon...
And at the stand of rush end, a loop was a better approach.

splitprune responds:

Haha, yeah I gotcha, for what it is I'm happy with it but I just let go of the whole project way too easily, it's a thing I do.

Appreciate the comment, have a good one!

Hello WakerLink,

Your music is for me totally in the theme, execution is perfert, the only problem is how long your music take so certains situations are missing, but what is here is good, so a good vote but not perfect :-)

Rafdows

WakerLink responds:

thanks for commenting, and the main reason why it sounds like it's missing something is mostly because I'm still not all that good at making stuff in different time signatures, so more practice is needed

Hello CryNN,

Very good music, composition, everything so why only four? Because your music give me more the impression of that the king give orders to the spy and outside it's the war! But the demand was more the travelling, gathering of informations and the live of the spy was in danger or not, things like that, so...

Rafdows

CryNN responds:

It was on the forms as a topic ;) thanks for the review

Hello Riy0,

Really good loop for a final boss of a cool JRPG game (that fun because I'm working on a music of JRPG just now also) your music work as well for an medieval as a futuristic a a steampunk or whatever and even for old game like Rainbow Island for certain boss... Great job!!!

Riy0 responds:

Thank you! :)

Hello FateModified,

The beginning is a rare "hip hop" rythm I'm able to listen too and it's the first good point, the melody is good, good useful of elements of repetition, the instruments give a good strange ensemble without being to weird, you have a good attention of what to do when and how!

Rafdows

FateModified responds:

Thank you! :)

Hello OliRO,

This song make me thing about the music in dungeons from Soulblaizer, above all the first.
Good sound and groove.
And know about the melody, it's too "sympatic" and optimism for a drama/critic song...

OliRO responds:

Thank you Rafdows!

That it reminds you of a super nintendo game is a very good thing for me, and thank you for the critic. It helps me get better at it, and what you said has been told by others as well so this is something that I will definitely be careful for in the future.

Hello vermeen,

As everyone, yes, I will say you music is nice and well executed but two points seem important to speak about :
First : your song seems happends in Asia, why not but it was more like Europeen medieval for the demand of the challenge, but ok;
Second : Ok, we feel right the sentiment of wandering and travelling, different places but... What about different mood of situation, I mean there no dramatical of critical moments like the demand for the challenge... You know and above all if you want to make composition your job, you will have to fit has most has possible of what persons will demand you...
But just go on on your wants because you have a great potential! :-)

Interesting observation about the "Asian-ness" of my track, it must of been the gongs that I used. I'll be more mindful of the settings next time!
As for the challenge requirements, I believe I'm safe in that regard? From what I took from the rules of the prompt was that it didn't need to be dramatic or cinematic-sounding, but it could be if we wanted to, as long as it fit the atmosphere of the event that we envisioned it for.

In my case I envisioned the Spy climbing a mountain to get a better view of Northpeaks, but for a moment he is distracted by the Northpeaks' beauty instead.
Unless, you mean the emotion of the song was lacking and fell flat, I can completely respect that! What sounds pretty to me might not sound pretty to potential clients, and that I should keep in mind.

Thank you for your valuable feedback and kind words!

Hello ClockbeatAdelony87,

So your choice was the same than me! so what can I say...
It's a good job but maybe lack of originality and too short, no?
I'm happy to heard some else work on a same theme that me by the way, interesting! :-)

Rafdows

ClockbeatAdelony87 responds:

Yea, it's sort of rushed so it's short and quite repetitive, I'll try to do better next time if I'm not busy with school and stuff. I'll listen to yours when I have the time, I'm excited to see other people's take on this topic! It's a good challenge and a good opportunity to learn from others!

This composition has good moments, really, just a few problem of transitions, repetitions and mixing, not a big deal but still being.

Teckmo-X responds:

Thanks

Great music, make me remember of goods synthetics soundtracks of sci-fi or even fantastic movies from early eighties like Runaway, Robocop, Terminator or Lady Hawk and many more, my god it's so good to hear that as a new track in 2021! Good job man!

RigaheaD responds:

Thank you very much.

Starting and learning music composition on Amiga in 80's, I continue to use Tracker old style to compose music in psycle (tracker of 4th generation) I play videogame since child and music came along naturaly as the same rythm a cinema.
